Ultimate respect – poetry

  • Amongst the countless grains of sand
  • I sit and gather some in hand
  • A moonless sky is up tonight
  • As stars glitter with all their might
  • The grains of sands I dare compare
  • To the stars above to which I stare
  • The mind assumes it comprehends
  • Although it only makes amend
  • Am I a figment or just a dream
  • Or maybe just a being supreme
  • Do I exist and does it matter?
  • As time passes and things get darker
  • And what is time and how do we measure
  • A second, a minute or something bigger
  • Can we equate our life to be,
  • Something as simple as energy
  • I have no answers to all there is
  • Nor do I wish to even perceive
  • But what I am, I must accept
  • and treat it with, “Ultimate respect”

Dreams

  • Night awakens beautiful dreams,
  • filled with moments of unlimited streams…
  • for I’m not real, nor will I exist…
  • I am merely a figment, of your Abyss

The darkest moment!

  • The world is bleak the world is dark
  • There is no spark left in my life
  • A worthless journey with worthless goals
  • Made up with years of empty holes
  • There is no future there is no gain
  • Just a life so filled with pain
  • Treasured things so out of reach
  • Were never meant for me to keep
  • I had so wished to find a love
  • That moulded just like hand and glove
  • I always gave an inch or two
  • To keep a love that felt so true
  • So much to give, so much to share
  • With one that cared enough to care
  • I have no wish to struggle on
  • The war is over the world has won

If I was a bird!

  • If I was a bird, I would fly the earth just to be by your side
  • I would wrap my wings around you and keep you warm at night
  • I would sing like a nightingale to calm your woes and moods
  • I would fly with you into the night and seek to reach the moon
  • If I was a bird, I would not be trapped or locked within a cage
  • I would not have wings clipped to keep me from you at any stage
  • I would feel the sunshine and its warmth upon my aging plumage
  • I would sing only when content but that would take some courage

But I am not a bird…

  • I cannot fly to be by your side…nor will I ever keep you warm
  • The moon above I’ll never reach…nor sing a note, just sigh and weep
  • Trapped in my world away from yours… divided all by distant miles
  • Apart we are and may remain… although always so close at heart.

As a matter of fact!

  • What’s the matter?
  • Are you feeling a bit under the weather?
  • Or,
  • What is matter?
  • A question a scientist would ponder!
  • As a matter of fact,
  • We have many matters:
  • Universal matter,
  • Reading matter
  • And
  • Matter of opinions!
  • To make matters worse,
  • We question…
  • Does it really matter?
  • The truth of the matter is…
  • It’s only a matter of time… before you realize,
  • No matter what…
  • It doesn’t really matter.
  • Maybe it’s all…
  • Just mind over matter.

What is reality?

  • With open hands I touch my mirror
  • A moment of darkness becomes much clearer
  • As my body transcends into its realm
  • I am entranced and totally overwhelmed
  • Darkness subsides and a dream-like effect
  • Takes over my being, in every aspect.
  • So light, so free and yet so confused
  • As to where I am although slightly enthused
  • Have I fallen, am I dreaming,
  • What is this space where I am standing
  • Am I standing or maybe lying
  • Nothing around to get my bearing
  • A sudden rush of warmth surrounds me
  • A gentle heart-beat resonates within me
  • My need for breath becomes reality
  • My mind is pure and free from memory
  • A push, a shove, breaks up my world
  • As things around begin to swirl
  • A painful slap to make me cry
  • Re-birthed to give it another try

Whatever I am, I just accept

  • Amongst the countless grains of sand
  • I sit and gather some in hand
  • A moonless sky is up tonight
  • Glittering stars with all their might
  • The grains of sands I dare compare
  • To the stars above to which I stare
  • The mind assumes it comprehends
  • Although it only makes amend
  • Am I a figment or just a dream?
  • Or maybe just a being supreme
  • Do I exist and does it matter
  • As time passes and things get darker
  • And what is time and how do we measure
  • A second, a minute or something bigger
  • Can we equate our life to be?
  • Something as simple as energy
  • I have no answers to all there is
  • Nor do I wish to even perceive
  • Whatever I am, I just accept
  • As answers remain quite inept

One sided affair

  • A lifetime dream may come to be
  • Maybe just… momentarily,
  • What happens when a heart beats true?
  • But just for me and not for you
  • Retreat back to your little shell
  • You silly wench from whence you came
  • As tears stream down your saddened face
  • You soon become a total mess
  • Broken hearted you step aside
  • Knowing and holding up your pride
  • Knowing too well, love needs two hearts
  • To make it right and all worthwhile
  • One sided love affair, a bit unfair
  • But no other fruit, was there to bear

The Black Hole Feeds

  • Spiralling to the depth of darkness
  • As oceans swirl into a dominion of pain
  • No end in sight to monstrous rain
  • Nor will any, other life remain
  • In deep space a black hole waits
  • It has no time, no feelings to express.
  • Its sole purpose is just to feed
  • Never enough to fulfill its greed

Too old for love, no one cares!

  • Dream on little girl, dream on
  • The time has come for you to wake
  • There is no knight in shining armour
  • There is no prince valiant at the gate
  • Time has passed and you have strayed
  • You’ve missed the treasures that await
  • Too old to care, that is not so
  • Too old to attract, oh yes I know
  • A lonely soul you shall become
  • No one to court or make you run
  • Your days are numbered and beauty slips
  • Your tomorrow certainly looks bleak
  • For what is life when it’s not shared
  • With someone else that really cares
  • Time to just live and just do things
  • Pretending life is so complete
  • You’ve missed the boat, how well you know
  • Too late for love and yes it shows.

Love gone Wrong….

  • A moment of weakness that cripples our mind
  • A search for happiness, although totally blind
  • A crippling emotion that binds you inside
  • A mental drain which you may survive
  • With love comes joy followed by sorrow
  • Short lived infatuations like no tomorrow
  • Love has many faces that no one knows
  • Including mine – now does it show?

Moments of Time

  • There is an endless sea that engulfs all dreams.
  • There is a land of sand that has no time.
  • There is a sun that glows and a moon that shines.
  • But what does all this, have to do with time?
  • A world and life that reflects beauty.
  • A day is all we have, to embrace it fully.
  • Moments of time is what we have.
  • No past to regret, no tomorrow to follow.
  • Today, you’ll live a moment in time;
  • As today, like any other, is a “Present” from time.

My Sister
  • Loving parents create a family
  • Children they’ll have but not too many
  • And from this union two girls are born
  • With regal names both are adorned
  • Early years find them inseparable
  • In their teens begins their struggle
  • Love is never questioned, just actions
  • And soon becomes a separation
  • As the years go by, they occasionally unite
  • Share a few joys but never quite right
  • So different in character they both seem to be
  • But always in love as sisters should be
  • Many times amends, were made and kept
  • But so short lived and were windswept
  • All that remains from this loving family
  • Are two distant sisters where one is, lonely
  • This sister is me and wishes she could
  • Hug and cuddle if only she could
  • Her loving sister that is always at heart
  • Even though, they are so far apart.
I love you sis!
